"Technical Blogs" - The keyword in Google.

It's been ages since i quit with the promotional activities of Beautifulminds.in. Last day when I checked with the data of the site I found that the word Technical blogs is attracting many a number of visitors to the site and when checked with Google India, I found that it is appearing in the first page. To rank in a key word like this wasn't something I expected.. Still its a good feeling that the word "Technical blogs" started generating more hits. From now on I will try to include more contents on the technical category (at least have to justify the search!).

Adsense.. how much do you earn?

When ever some one clicks on adsense ad, Google shares its revenue with you.. but how much.. google recently disclosed the same and it is around 68 percentage see about that in here

Story of pagerank, blogger, wordpress and more..

A couple of years ago the most important thing around for webmasters was how to increase Google page rank or PR. In those times, I was also in constant search for articles around the internet by using keywords like "how to increase the PR", "Increase the Page rank" etc. Occasionally I used to search for "Increase the Alexa ranking" keywords too. I was able to increase my page rank(maximum of 5 for a short duration) and increase my Alexa score to the range of 2,00,000. After that I migrated my blog to Wordpress, tried Drupal, again to Wordpress and then back here to blogger. if there wasn't a DB migration at my host side, i wouldn't have got my articles deleted in Wordpress and i wouldn't have came back to blogger. Every thing happened for good(courtesy: Bhagavat Geetha).
Last day when i migrated my page rank was 2 and this day its updated and is now 4! err.. What's happening Google?
What is left? I now have a mission in Hand, to migrate my blog sqaguy to blogger. i think I'll loose my articles in sqa blog.. wanna try all the options..

Gmail : 502 error.

At 11.29 AM Indian Standard time (20th of Sep 2008) google said its mail (actually my mail)is experiencing problem.. Phew..! hope will be up anytime..


Ha.. That happened when I tried to view a picture attachment... the error was 502...

Good bye Adsense

In response to googles decission to freeze my adsense account, I am taking off all the adsense ads from my blog... Donno why google have done the same.. I haven't ever clicked on a single ad :(
My account was almost around 37 - 40 USD (for the last one and a half years)... down with adsense..

I have started using some inpost ads from BidVertiser, instead.

Yeah, there are many a number of other advertisers around.. I think google doesn't know that! I wont blame google.. only thing that hurt is that they did'nt even send a mail / confirmation that they are going to ban!

Larry in Zero Day have explained about the issues in G-Archiver, an archiving tool for gmail. According to the article, the program send the user name and password to the authors email.. sounds horrifying right?

PR 4 in less than two months - Long way to go.!

This morning I found that my blog have gained some PR. In less than a couple of months time. Isn't that cool?

A PR of 4 with some back links. So i doubts.. Is there some thing called sand box effect? I dont think so.

Google mail, a little information on how to get help.

Gmails doesnt have folders concept.. they use labels instead. For creating labels visit here.
Google mails languages are listed by google in its help.
You can get the mails transfered in to google mail(even from non google mail accounts) using mail fetcher.

Finally, if your mail is abc.def@gmail.com, all the mail send to abcdef@gmail.com, a.b.c.d.e.f@gmail.com etc... will all get delivered in to your account, google ignores the dot (".").
